Major Tech World has ended its Awka summer code camp creative thinking exercise for school children with a call on parents to among other things, empower their children with technological knowledge and skills.

 

The summer code camp creative thinking exercise held at Grace and Faith House, Awka, lasted for three weeks, and had children between the ages of five and sixteen in attendance who were groomed in various technological aspects including creation of mobile application, animation stories, games, graphics website design and indoor games.

During the grand finale of the exercise, the children were given the opportunity to present various designs they did during the camp.

 

In a remark, the Chief Technical Officer and Chief Operational Officer of Major Tech World, Mr Anthony Obiorah pointed out that technology is the future, and early exposure of children to technology is getting them ready to face the future, noting that knowledge the children garnered during the weeks training will give them an edge over others.

Contributing, the Team Lead Major Tech world, Mr Chukwuemaka Joseph emphasized the need for parents to always give their children and wards access to computer, but with strict parental guidance, explaining that the world is on dailybasis advancing to technology and for the children to survive in future, they need sound technological knowledge.

 

Some parents that spoke to ABS during the event, including Mr Chijioke Ibeziako, Mrs Amaka Onuigbo, Pastor Ugonna Emechebe, and Mrs Lilian Onyenyionwu appreciated the organizers saying that the training really impacted on their children, and called for its sustenance.

For the children, Masters Emmanuel Ezeani and Alexander Onyenyionwu the camp was awesome and has exposed them to the world of technology, and promised to continue to practice what they learnt until perfection.
