Christians have been urged to always aspire to overcome sin to attract presence of God.
The Anambra State Two Overseer of the Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor Jude Chukwuocha made the call in a sermon to mark this month’s combined service of the church at the Church’s Headquarters in Awka.
Speaking on the theme of the sermon, titled ‘turn from distress men to valiant men’, Pastor Chukwuocha, urged the faithful to flee from sin and not to keep indulging in unrighteousness because God is merciful.
He outlined three steps to become valiant men, just like the biblical David and other disciples of God which include; that Christians should turn to righteousness and diminish not the grace of God, tune to righteous men of God whose example should be followed as well as taming all reproaching demons and gangs up against God’s goodness on them.
Pastor Chukwuocha, urged the faithful to continue to pray for Nigeria and her leaders in view of the numerous challenges facing the country.
Testimonies, praises, prayers and thanksgiving climaxed the church service.
