Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS, has announced its readiness to commence a profile programme for all communities within the state.

 

The Managing Director of ABS, Sir Chido Obidiegwu, who disclosed this while receiving in audience, executive members of Anambra State Association of Town Union, ASATU, in his office in Awka, also unveiled plans by the establishment to host a reality show.

Sir Chido, who stated the need for communities to have programmes to showcase their activities, noted that the reality show is geared towards showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Anambra State to promote the vision of Governor Chukwuma Soludo.

 

Sir Chido, while assuring them of cordial working relationship, tasked them on providing solutions at the community level.

Earlier, the ASATU National President, Mr. Titus Akpudo, a barrister, said they came to familiarize with the ABS Boss as well as discuss on ways they can contribute their quota for the good of the ABS and development of the state.

 

Mr. Akpudo, while describing Sir Chido as a good man, affirmed that he can deliver on the mandate of the Governor and prayed for God’s wisdom and strength on him to pilot the affairs of the establishment even as he assured of their maximum support.

In a vote of thanks, the National Third Vice President of ASATU, Chief Ikechukwu Ofokansi, thanked Sir Chido for the warm reception and commended the ABS for initiating the reality show programme for communities which he said will have moral values and cultural ethics.

 

Other members of ASATU Executive present were the National Secretary, Chief Dozie Nwosu, the National Provost, Chief Walter Okafor and the National Liaison Officer for Anambra Central, Chief Bonny Ozo-Nkwuaku while the Director of News and Current Affairs Department of the ABS, Mr. Gab Okpaleze and his Commercial Department counterpart, Mrs. Beatrice Akwanamnye were also present.
