Anambra State Government has kicked off a-four day training on Information Communication Technology, ICT, for staff of the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs at the Government House Awka.

 

The Commissioner, Mr Collins Nwabunwanne, who took participants on Basic Office Applications, Graphics and Internet Skills, assured that the state government will provide computers for effective service delivery.

Correspondent Nneka Anoliefo reports that Commissioner Nwabunwanne lauded Governor Chukwuma Soludo for ensuring that every Anambra State Civil Servant is ICT compliant.

 

He charged them to maximally utilize the training to upgrade selves and become more efficient, productive and marketable.

 

Contributing, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Mrs. Pauline Nwandu, a Barrister, who extolled Governor Soludo and Commissioner Nwabunwanne for organizing the training, explained that the aim of the training was to foster excellence, enhance workflow and empower staff.

A resource person, Dr Ikechukwu Umeh, who taught them positions of IC urged them to be punctual, attentive and garner enough knowledge to compliment the efforts of government.

 

Some of the participants, including Mrs Grace Ginikanwa, Ifeanyi Amaobi, Chinenye Obidimma, Ijeoma Ilekuba and Helen Okwusogu thanked the state government for the training and promised to use the knowledge garnered to improve on their services.
