Saint Dominic Catholic Church Fegge, Onitsha, has inaugurated Our Lady Queen of All Saints Curia of the Parish.

The inauguration, which attracted parishioners of other parishes, was done alongside the birthday celebration of the Blessed Virgin Mary, revered dearly by the Catholic Church.

In his homily to commemorate the double event, a visiting priest, Reverend Father Martin Onwudiwe encouraged Christians to put God first in all they do.

Reverend Father Onwudiwe, who centered his teaching on the story of the Prodigal Son, highlighted lessons to be drawn from the story saying that God at all time is waiting for his children’s return with open arms.

He also advised them to emulate the virtues of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Speaking at the ceremony , the chairman on the occasion, Mr. Anthony Ogbuagu said the inauguration has given hope to Legion of Mary as the fate of the legion lies in the hands of its curia while its future depends on their development.

He charged the newly inaugurated curia to sit up to the task, uphold the Catholic Faith while praying for God’s wisdom and direction.

On his part, the Curia President, Mr. Sampson Nwoba appreciated God for the success of the day and all, who came to witness the event, promising to lead by example.

An awardee, Mrs. Franca Ononuju of the ABS, expressed gratitude to the parish for finding her worthy of such award, praying for God’s grace to stand firm in faith and run the Christian race to finish.

Others, who spoke to ABS, including Brother Law Okeke, Mrs. Eucharia Omeju, Mrs. Christiana Emechebe among others thanked God for making the event a memorable one.
