The NYSC Anambra State Secretariat Coordinator, Mrs. Blessing Iruma, unveiled this while interacting with staff of the South-East Zonal office of FCCPC, who called on her in her Awka Office.

Mrs. Iruma lauded the initiative of the FCCPC in using Corp members as its foot soldiers to reach out to and protect consumers including those in the hinterland from unethical practices by some traders, manufacturers and service providers which according to her, are not in their best interest.

While assuring FCCPC of the preparedness of the secretariat to partner it towards achieving its mandates, Mrs. Iruma also assured FCCPC of her readiness to provide all the supports and logistics needed.

Earlier, the leader of the South-East Zonal office of the FCCPC, Mr. Anthony Nwafor in his speech disclosed that they came to seek the collaboration of the NYSC in their awareness campaign and sensitization of consumers on their rights and responsibilities.

According to Mr. Nwafor, based on FCCPC’s mandate as enshrined in the FCCP Act of 2018, the agency sought to collaborate with the Corps for a joint awareness campaign to the public especially those at the hinterlands through their Community Development Service, CDS.

Highlight of the interaction was presentation of educational materials from FCCPC to the state coordinator of the NYSC, Mrs. Iruma.
