Rising from a four-day ecumenical prayer summit at Aguleri, Anambra East Council Area, the President, World Christian International Ecumenical Centre, Right Reverend Dr. Elias Ekwemmuor, has said that abundant miracles will henceforth be the lot of Ndigbo.
The President-General of Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide, Professor George Obiozor, represented by Mr. Ambrose Onuoha, attended the summit organised by the World Christian International Ecumenical Centre; in conjunction with Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide, and has as its theme, “as the divine destiny of Ndigbo is already in their hands as mountains of blockages are pulled down by God only”.
Dr. Ekwemmuor, who is the Spiritual Director of Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide, and National Coordinator of the prayer summit, announced that it is a divine order for an Igbo man to become the President of Nigeria come 2023 and called for true repentance among Ndigbo, adding that ecumenism and undenominational Christianity is the only way to have eternal life, and not creating, forming or joining different denomination of Churches.
While commending the state Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, for his efforts so far as Anambra helmsman, Dr. Ekwemmuor called on Ndi-Anambra to support his administration with prayer, saying that he will not disappoint.
The Chairman of Planning Committee of the event, Pastor Aloy Ikechebelu, regretted that Christians have failed in their duties because of segregation and discrimination, which it noted is not in accord with the will of God and restated the commitment of the centre in fulfilling God’s mandate of ensuring that Christians are one, saying that there is no Church in heaven.
In his remarks, the Anambra State Chairman of Ohaneze Ndigbo, Prince Emeka Udodeme, said that Ndigbo need such event, given that war had failed to bring issues affecting them to the front burner, expressing hope that the prayer summit will help in bettering the lots of Ndigbo.
Clergymen from different Christian denominations attended the annual prayer summit which featured special prayers for peaceful coexistence, progress, healing, total reconciliation, political and economic stability in Igbo land, as well as the immediate release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and all Igbo detainees in different correctional centers in Nigeria.
