Nigeria Society of Engineers, NSE, has called on the Managing Director, Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS, Sir Chido Obidiegwu, seeking the collaboration of the establishment in different areas of development.
The chairman of NSE Awka Branch, Mr. David Okeke, an Engineer, led the delegation.
NSE, a professional body for engineers, is committed to providing quality service that enhances professional competence and development of its members and enforcing high standard of performance and professional ethics among members.
In his speech, Mr. Okeke, who congratulated Sir Chido on his appointment as the Managing Director of ABS, informed him of their investiture programme that is coming up next month which according to him, will feature induction of new members and awards.
On his part, a former chairman of NSE, Mr. Sylvester Offodile, also an Engineer, stressed the importance for engineers to be professionals in their field to reduce building collapse, noting that an error by an engineer can lead to the death of many and loss of resources.
Responding, Sir Chido assured them of the support and collaboration of the establishment noting that the vision and mission of NSE if upheld, will help in achieving Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s vision for the state.
