Christians have been admonished to always exercise the authority conferred on them by God, to be able to stand against devil and his cohorts.
The Anambra State Two Overseer of the Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor Jude Chukwuocha, who gave the admonition during a combined service of the church, held at its headquarters in Awka, encouraged them that God has equally provided armor and spiritual weapons for their warfare against Satan, and urged them to utilize it.
While speaking on the topic, ‘the believers’ authority over the powers of darkness’ Pastor Chukwuocha advised them to be self-controlled, alert, and stand firm in faith because the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
He urged the congregation to bring their lives closer to the scripture and shun all odds dampening their spiritual lives, as the devil, whom he described as manipulator of circumstances, is watching for opportunities to catch them off guard so he can slip in and trouble them.
Reminding the church that God wants them to be His true ambassadors on earth, Pastor Chukwuocha implored the believers to resist false preachers, and exercise the authority God conferred on them.
Pastor Chukwuocha also urged the congregation to take a decision and stand on the side of Jesus to end satanic tricks
The Vice Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Professor Charles Esimone, also joined in the service that featured music rendition by the choir, prayers and thanksgiving.
