Anambra State Governor Professor Chukwuma Soludo has been given an award as a Grand Patron of Association of Anambra State Development Union Lagos State.

 

Governor Soludo received the Award during the 2022 lecture and Award Day at Ikoyi Lagos.

 

The Association of Anambra Development Union is the greatest assemblage of Ndi Anambra living in Lagos state.

 

Receiving the award on behalf of the Governor, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor, Anambra Liaison Office, Barrister Leo Chiegboka assured that Anambra State government is out to assist them in all aspects of life, having put in place Anambra State Liaison Office and urged them to make good use of the liaison office in case of an emergency.

 

Governor Soludo called on Ndi Anambra in Lagos to take the think home philosophy (Aku luo uno) to heart and take up a project that will benefit the teaming youths of Anambra State in their different local governments and towns, thereby helping in reducing the insecurity ravaging the state.

 

In a remark, the chairman on the occasion, Chief Mike Ajegbo thanked the organizers for their efforts in making sure that the event was a successful one, calling on Ndi Anambra to always maintain the spirit of Onye Aghana Nwanne ya in anywhere they find themselves.

 

Earlier in a speech, the president, Association of Anambra Development Unions, Chief Amechi Ebeledike said that the two events of the day were reminders of the age long traditions of reward for good work often neglected, and noted that Anambra state can boast of the greatest number of achievers worthy of celebration.

 

Also speaking, a guest lecturer at the event, Mr. Ifeanyi Mbanefo while addressing the issue of insecurity urged parents to fix what he called little things in terms of giving their children home training for them to be good ambassadors of their families and the society at large.

 

Among those present at the event were the Executive Committee Members of the Association, representatives of the various town unions, among others.

 

Observation of one minute silence on behalf of their passed heroes, including late Chief Mbazulike Amechi, among others featured at the event.

 

Handing over of the award plaques to the recipients were part of the activities that climaxed the event.
