The Commissioner for Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Barrister Anthony Ifeanya says that the Soludo administration has shown uncommon seriousness, total commitment and strong political will in its quest to give Ndi Anambra quality leadership.

 

Commissioner Ifeanya made the remark in a chat with newsmen in his office in Awka.

 

He observed that the present dispensation, is giving serious attack on criminality, unprecedented multi sectoral development and innovation in all key facets of governance.

 

Commissioner Ifeanya cited massive road infrastructure project where over one hundred and twenty roads have been earmarked for construction and rehabilitation and more than eighty already flagged of, the model innovation in the Agric sector and the machinery put in motion for a “new Anambra economic system” under the IGR with better organization of the revenue windows to sanitize the entire process and end the era of multiple levies.

 

Barrister Ifeanya described the recent inauguration of skill acquisition centers by Governor Soludo to boost human capacity building as quite apt at this period of global mass unemployment and huge job cuts and expressed optimism that with this center and robust innovations in the agricultural sector, more employment opportunities will be opened for our youths.

 

The Petroleum Commissioner noted that even in education sector which is key to the socio-economic development of any nation, a lot of transformation has taken place with the sector still attracting laurels to the state as witnessed in the recent Presidential award of excellence on teachers and schools which came to Anambra.

 

Barrister Ifeanya pointed out that what this government required most is the support of the people and their willingness to discharge their civic responsibilities by paying their taxes and levies.
