The member representing Anaocha Two Constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly, Chief Ejike Okechukwu has rendered account of his stewardship at the state House of Assembly in his three years and few months of service to his constituents.

 

The lawmaker presented his score card at a maiden town hall meeting he organized for his constituents held at Neni, Anaocha Local Government Area.

addressing the gathering, the legislator disclosed that he has sponsored many bills and motions which facilitated the development of Anambra State.

 

Chief Okechukwu said he built a three-bedroom bungalow for Mrs. Martha Nwejiaka who is a widow with children at Akwaeze, facilitated the employment of eighteen persons of his constituents in different parastatals, secured Federal Government COVID-19 grants of five hundred thousand naira each for more than forty persons across his constituency which has helped them to be self-reliant.

The legislator informed the gathering that he offered scholarships to many pupils of his Constituency, attracted ongoing renovation and construction of classroom blocks for some primary and secondary schools within his Constituency, empowered many of his constituents with different skills, aided many in securing admission in various tertiary institutions in Anambra State among others.

 

In his remarks, the Chairman on the occasion, Chief Ikeobi Ejiofor who noted that all the communities that make up Anaocha Two Constituency have benefitted immensely from Honourable Okechukwu’s quality representation, revealed that he donated 500KVA transformer to Obeledu community, while the Commissioner for Health Dr. Afam Obidike a member of Anaocha Two Constituency and Mr. Ikem Mgbemena described his representation as very satisfactory.

In his remarks, the Transition Committee Chairman of Anaocha Local Government Area, Mr. Gerald Ozo, observed that Honourable Okechukwu has performed above expectations and urged him not to relent in his commitment to take the Constituency to an enviable height.

 

Many of those who benefited from the lawmaker’s representation were present at the occasion and testified that he made positive impact in their lives.
