Anambra state government has so far awarded two hundred and eleven kilometers of roads within Governor Soludo’s eight months in office.

The Commissioner for Works Engineer Ifeanyi Okoma announced this while reacting on why they are having series of trainings for Engineers under Anambra state ministry of Works.

Addressing participants at the training, Commissioner Okoma said that Governor Soludo is so much interested in knowledge which was why they brought a consultant from Israel as the resource person for the training, and said that more trainings and retraining of Engineers will still be carried out to ensure the best for Anambra roads.

Engineer Okoma noted that Governor Soludo is spending huge resources on roads which is why quality Engineers are needed to man the state roads.

He advised the Engineers to go all out and equip themselves the more so as to fall in line with what Governor Soludo wants, and said that the consultant from Israel is one of the bests in road infrastructure the world over.

Addressing the participants, the consultant Engineer S.Samara said the training was to expose the Engineers on how to design and get quality roads without spending much, adding that he was engaged to conduct more trainings in future especially on how to design quality drainages and bridges to international standard.

Works correspondent Ngozi Obileri who covered the training session held at International Convention Center, Awka reports that over thirty Engineers participated in the exercise.
