Youths have been urged to take advantage of opportunities being created by Governor Chukwuma Soludo administration to achieve their life aspirations.
Speaking in Awka, the Anambra State Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Sir Nobert Obi, said the present administration is providing bright prospect for youths to be productive and contribute towards building a better society.
Paul Ezeoke reports that
Sir Nobert noted that various empowerment programmes initiated by the Governor would enable the youths acquire skills to become self-reliant and discourage them from crime and social vices.
He urged them to resist being used by desperate politicians to instigate violence and rancour in the ongoing electioneering campaign ahead of the 2023 general elections, while urging politicians to see youth empowerment as a collective responsibility towards building a peaceful, stable and progressive society.
Also speaking, a former Special Assistant to former Governor Willie Obiano on Science and Technology, Ministry of Education, Chief Raymond Uchebo, commended Governor Soludo for his political will and courage to end illegal land transactions and encroachment on other people’s land.
Chief Uchebo noted that the Governor’s resolve to enforce sections of the Prohibition of Fraudulent Practices On Land and Property Law of 2012 would, among other things, end incursions into people’s land and illegal collection of fees on land, and regretted that over the years, many people and communities have lost plots and hectares of land to fraudulent activities of few individuals who often use their positions to sell land that does not belong to them, which he noted has continued to generate crisis and rancour among the people, as well as slow down pace of development in most communities.
He expressed confidence that the new law administration introduced by Governor Soludo’s administration will streamline land ownership, boost investors’ confidence and accelerate development across the state.
Chief Uchebo urged the people to give the Governor necessary support and cooperation to achieve his vision.
