The members of Anambra House of Assembly have been urged to ensure accelerated passage of the state 2023 budget estimate presented by Governor Chukwuma Soludo to achieve the set goals.
The Vice Chairman Ohaneze Ndigbo worldwide, Chief Damian Okeke Ogene made the call in Awka.

Chief Okeke-Ogene said the early passage of the budget would enable the state government commence early implementation to achieve the set objectives and commended Governor Soludo for presenting the budget proposal early to enable members of the House to do their work thoroughly.
He expressed satisfaction with the composition of the budget which he noted provided framework for the Governor to translate his vision and manifesto to democracy dividends and build on the foundation he is laying so far.
Chief Okeke Ogene pointed out that completion of road projects and other infrastructural facilities already initiated by the present administration would bring a new dawn across the state and ensure that the Governor fulfill promises made to Ndi Anambra ahead of time.
He commended the ongoing work at the new Government House and Lodge after many years of neglect which he noted would further upgrade facilities in the state.
The Ohaneze Vice President urged residents of the state to be alive to civic responsibilities through prompt payment of taxes and levies to provide government with the necessary funds to implement the budget.
Also speaking, a community leader, Chief Austin Okechukwu commended the cordial relationship among the arms of government, noting that building the state remains the collective responsibility of everybody.
Chief Okechukwu cautioned against diversion of government revenue and other financial frauds that could deny government funds.
