The Acting Corps Marshal of the Federal Road SafetyCommission Mr Dauda Biu has advised Motorists to desist from actions that are inimical to the safety of others.

Mr Biu gave the advise at the Dunamis Church Amawbia in Awka South Local Government Area during a service to commemorate the 2022 African Road Safety Day and World Day of Remembrance of Victims of Road Crashes.

The Theme for this year’s celebration is “Justice” with the slogan as “Remember, Support and Act” focusing on ensuring justice and succor for victims of road crashes and their families.

Mr Biu in an address delivered by the Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission in Anambra State, Mr. Adeoye Irelewuyi revealed that the decision is to seek God’s mercy upon the souls of those that lost their lives and those that sustained injuries as a result of road traffic crashes in the State.

The State Co-ordinator, Special Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Commission in Anambra State Mr. Patrick Chukwudi, insisted that most crashes are avoidable if only motorists obey traffic rules and regulations, and prayed God to console the families of those who lost their loved ones as a result of road crashes.

Earlier, in a message titled “Pathway to God’s Power”, Pastor Abraham Yakini said that God must be the priority for all Christians in order to attract the power of God.

Prayers for the victims and families of the road crash victims and for officers and men of the Federal Road Safety Commission and thanksgiving formed the highpoints of the service.
