The Chairman of Orumba South Local Government Area Transition Committee Prince Neville Uchendu has hosted the new leadership of Anambra State Local Government Service Commission led by its Chairman Barrister Vincent Ezeaka who visited Orumba South in continuation of their tour of the twenty-one Local Government Areas of the State.
Governor Chukwuma Soludo had on October twentieth 2022 inaugurated a new Local Government Service Commission and the selected members were on their inauguration, tasked with the responsibility of reviving the Local Government System.
Speaking at the Local Government Secretariate Umunze the Chairman of the Commission, Barrister Ezeaka who delivered the Governor’s Message to the Council informed them of the Governor’s new stance on lateness to work and the Commission’s resolve to introduce electronic attendance register in the Local Government System.
Barrister Ezeaka also said that financial irregularities in the Local Government System has come to an end as revenues should go directly into the government coffers.
Appreciating the entourage, the Chairman of Orumba South Local Government Areatransition Committee Prince Uchendu, corroborated the Commission’s Chairman messages and urged the staff of the Local Government to be committed and dedicated to duty.
Prince Uchendu who prayed that God will help them sustain the zeal and the wisdom with which they started, intimated the commission of the planned revival of a lot of things in Orumba South Local Government, including Sports and Agricultural Facilities and thanked Governor Soludo for his massive road construction, ongoing developmental projects and other already proposed ones to be sited in the Local Government Area.
On his part, the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees NULGE in Orumba South Local Government Area Comrade Ifeyinwa Mouka thanked the Commission members and informed them of their readiness to accept the necessary positive change which is coming and prayed God to further fortify them with the courage and patriotism to complete what they have started.
Those that accompanied the Commission’s Chairman were the Member one, Honourable Azubuike Okoye, Member two Mr. Uchenna Okafor, Member four Barrister Anthonia Tabansi-Okoye, the Commission’s Secretary Barrister Stan Nwata among others.
