The 2017 appropriation bill presented by Governor Willie Obiano to the state House of Assembly has been described as viable and achievable.
The chairman House committee on Appropriation, Honorable Obinna Emenaka who stated this while reacting to a report on the budget at ABS website during ABS newspaper review programme, noted that the one hundred and fifteen point five billion naira appropriation bill foe 2017 fiscal year, reflected the key areas that will engender economic growth and development, promising that they will do all within their powers to ensure speedy passage of the budget.
Also speaking on the progamme, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Mobilization, Mr Tony Ezekwelu stated that there were positive adjustments to reflect the current economic situation in the country while noting that important areas like Youth, Agriculture, Environment and others received significant increase when compared to 2016 budget.
Callers on the programme, Mr Enukorah from Ihembosi and Pastor ThankGod from Ndi Owu commended the achievements already recorded by the present Administration and called on various Ministries to ensure effective implementation of the budget when passed.
