The National President of Anambra State Association of Town Unions, ASATU, Barrister Titus Akpudo, has commended the state government for recruiting five thousand teachers to boost the education sector of the state.
Barrister Akpudo, who gave the commendation in Awka, also appreciated the efforts of the Education Commissioner, Professor Ngozi Chuma-Udeh during the rigorous processes that produced the teachers.
He explained that the massive recruitment of teachers would positively affect the education sector of the state, and described the development as a step in the right direction.
The ASATU President remarked that teachers’ recruitment has shown that the Governor Soludo is a lover of education, adding that the exercise has drastically reduced the rate of unemployed citizens in the state.
Barrister Akpudo noted that the injection of the five thousand teachers into the state education sector would go a long way in improving academic performance in the state.
He urged the newly recruited teachers in the state to key into the Governor’s “solution mantra” of a livable, prosperous and smart homeland by contributing their quota in repositioning the state’s education sector.
While explaining that the Governor’s gesture is in tandem with his campaign promises to make Anambra progressive, Barrister Akpudo further congratulated the teachers for being recruited into the education system.
