Oluebube Charity Foundation has empowered over one thousand less privileged persons in the spirit of Christmas.

 

The beneficiaries cut across men, women, youths and children who gathered at Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka for the largesse.

items distributed to them were assorted food including beverages and noodles, clothes, baby items, sanitaries materials and shoes.

 

They were also given free medical treatment and eye care, as some of them went home with free eyeglasses to improve their sight.

While declaring the event opened, the Chaplain of Archbishop A. K. Obiefuna Retreat and Pastoral Center, Okpuno, Reverend Father Chimobi Okoye appreciated and encouraged Oluebube Charity Foundation for its good works for humanity, noting that for one to celebrate Christmas with the less privileged is a show of love to humanity, as it will help the beneficiaries to have a sense of belonging.

 

The Coordinator of the foundation, Mrs Ngozi Ezeani said that the Ezeani family of Awkuzu in Oyi local government area established Oluebube Charity Foundation out of their passion to help humanity as they understand that happiness and joy should not be limited to some group of people in the society.

In their separate remarks, the Manager of the Foundation, Miss Chika Obasi and the Secretary, Miss Ifeoma Ezeani stated that the purpose of the Christmas fair was to reach out to many people that could not afford to buy some of the things that the foundation provided for them and thanked those that donated to the foundation.

 

Some of the beneficiaries, including Christian Agbo, Chinyere Nweke, Ngozi Onuora, Chioma Ezeh and Victoria Paul-Ekeh who said they were overwhelmed with happiness, thanked the Foundation for putting a smile on their faces and noted that the gesture will help them in celebrating Christmas with happiness and peace of mind,praying God to bless them.
