The second Niger Bridge has been opened to traffic.
Vehicles are trickling in on the Second Niger bridge while workers from the construction firm handling the project and officers and men of the Federal Road Safety Commission were seen directing motorists.
Speaking to the ABS on the development, the Health and Safety Manager for Second Niger Bridge, Mr. Tim Oseghe said the Second Niger Bridge was temporarily opened and transporters are rightly diverted at Tipper Junction, Asaba hoping that awareness will increase with time.
Mr. Oseghe said sign posts are also available to guide motorists explaining that motorists coming in from Asaba axis will get to Obosi interchange from there and those going to Owerri, Nnewi and other linking towns will join their route while those going to Electrical market, Obosi will connect their route noting that this phase will run till January First,2023.
Motorists who spoke to the ABS commended the Federal Government for actualizing the Second Niger Bridge Project.
