The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, flag-bearer in the 2023 General Elections Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has restated the importance of security, unity and peace in changing the national narrative.

 

Alhaji Abubakar was speaking while addressing the issues Anambra traditional rulers in Awka.

 

He assured that if elected, his administration will give every part of the country a sense of belonging and promised to unite Nigerians by giving each zone a sense of participation.

 

 

 

At a rally in Awka, Alhaji Abubakar extolled Governor Soludo as excellent and patriotic Nigerian and assured that if elected he would tackle deplorable federal roads in the state, erosion challenges, dredge the river Niger and provide adequate funding for small and medium enterprises and youth empowerment.

 

Later in a Town Hall meeting in Awka, the PDP presidential candidate reassured of equitable distribution of political positions and devolution of power as well as conscious measures to end industrial actions in tertiary institutions.

 

 

 

Responding earlier at the meeting with traditional rulers, the Chairman of Anambra State Traditional Rulers Council and Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Alfred Achebe, said the monarchs are non-partisan and will support who emerges the winner in the elections as well as pray for collective interest of Nigeria.

 

 

 

The PDP National Chairman, Senator Iyochia Ayu, the State Director General, Atiku Campaign Council, Professor Obiora Okonkwo, Professor Sam Ohuabunwa, Senator Liyel Imoke, Barrister Josephine Anenih, Senator Uche Ekwunife, Senator Dino Melaye, Governor Aminu Tambuwal, Senator Adolphus Nwagbara, Chief Osita Chidoka, Chief Ndubuisi Nwobu and other party supporters were in the delegation.
