Christmas came early for over one thousand four hundred and twenty persons from various wards in Idemili North Local Government Area when the Special Adviser to Governor Chukwuma Soludo on Local Government Matters, Barrister Ralph Nnabuife handed them cash reliefs as empowerment.
Nkpor, the country home of Barrister Nnabuife was filled with people from the various wards for the event, which was the annual Christmas Empowerment Programme, which Barrister Nnabuife has consistently organized for the people of Idemili North.
This year’s edition was however different as Barrister Nnabuife also during the event, hosted Honourable Dozie Nwankwo, the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA Senatorial Candidate for Anambra Central and Ikenna Iyiegbu, All Progressive Grand Alliance House of Representatives Candidate for Idemili North and South Federal Constituency in next year’s general elections.
Speaking at the event, Governor Chukwuma Soludo who was represented by the Secretary to the State government, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu described Christmas as a season of love, adding that what the convener did is in line with what he is preaching for Ndi Anambra to show love to one another especially the less privileged.
In their remarks, the All Progressives Grand Alliance Candidates, Honourable Nwankwo and Honourable Iyiegbu said what Barrister Nnabuife did is commendable and is key to mobilizing the people to support the good work of Governor Chukwuma Soludo in the State.
The convener of the event, Barrister Nnabuife, who is a one-time Chairman of Idemili North Local Government Area, explained that the event was to show love to the people at the grassroots, noting that the tradition has been sustained over the past fifteen years.
Others who spoke including a one-time Special Adviser to former Governor Willie Obiano Chief Ifeatu Obiokoye, the founder of All Progressives Grand Alliance New Media Mr Nnanna Nzewi and Mrs Nwanne Francisca urged other affluent individuals in the area to emulate Barrister Nnabuife’s benevolence.
Highpoints of the event was cash gifts to the people as well as dance by the beneficiaries.
