In the spirit of yuletide that is still in the air around the globe, the Anambra Broadcasting Service ABS has received a brand new thirty-KVA generating set from a community leader in Akwaeze,Chief Ikenna Okafor.
Speaking during the handover of the generating set at Akwaeze in Anaocha Local Government Area Chief Okafor, who holds the title of Ide of Akwaeze, said that this is to fulfill the promise he made when the management of the establishment paid him a courtesy visit a few months ago, facilitated by Mr Emeka Okeke of the ABS.
Chief Okafor said that this is his own way of partnering the government as part of his corporate social responsibility.
Receiving the gift on behalf of the station, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the ABS Sir Chido Obidiegwu thanked Chief Okafor for his kind disposition for both in Anambra and Port Harcourt where he resides, adding that this is in line with the governor’s call on affluent Ndi Anambra to join hands with the government to develop the State.
He used the opportunity to call on other public-spirited Ndi Anambra to add their quota in taking ABS to an international brand to the beauty of the State.
Sir Chido promised to put the generating set to good use.
