The Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Soludo has recieved in audience, the Consul General at the U.S. Consul General office in Lagos, Will Stevens.

 

The Governor received the US Consul General and his team at the Governor’s Lodge, Amawbia.

Speaking shortly after a closed door meeting, Governor Soludo said that their discussion hovered around opportunities in trade, commerce and technology.

 

For his part, Mr. Stevens noted that the relationship between the United States and Nigeria is rich with productive history, assuring that more areas of partnership will be reviewed and explored.

As Consul General in Lagos, Mr. Stevens is the most senior U.S. Government representative to Nigeria throughout the 17 states in southern Nigeria, and is responsible for leading and overseeing U.S. government activities that enhance trade and investment relations as well as bilateral people-to-people ties across the region.

Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Uche Okafor, Secretary to the State Government, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu, Head of Service, Barrister Theodora Igwegbe, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr. Ernest Ezeajughi, among others were present during the courtesy call.
