The remains of Lady Ann Chinwuba have been laid to rest at her home in Amaegwene village, Nando, Anambra East Council Area.
The funeral ceremony, which commenced with a church service at her compound, attracted family members, relatives, friends and well-wishers.
The deceased was a Lady of the Knight of Saint John International, and wife of a former Managing Director of Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS, Late Sir Michael Chinwuba.
Speaking at the church service, the Catechist, Saint Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Nando, Brother Kenneth Onwuegbusina noted that prior to her death, Lady Chinwuba was committed to the service of God, and that God used her to show people who came in contact with her the good way of life, urging Christians to live a good life in order not to be found wanting on the last day.
In their separate remarks after interment, sons of the deceased, Messrs Mike and Obinna Chinwuba said while alive, their mother played the role of a mentor, confidant, as well ensured that they were raised in the way of God, thanking all who came to condole with the family.
On his part, Reverend Father Anthony lgssweagu, who noted that the deceased lived life worthy of emulation, sympathized with the family over the loss, and prayed God to help entire family bear the loss.
President of the Regina Celia Coliseum, Legion of Mary, Amawbia, Sister Grace Umeh, who disclosed that the deceased, a former President of the pious society, lived a life worthy of emulation, and was very dedicated to her duties, prayed God to grant her eternal rest.
Condolence visits by various groups featured at the funeral ceremony of the late Lady Ann Chinwuba, who died at the age of seventy.
