The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Awka Capital Territory Development Authority, Mr. Ossy Onuko has charged members of the Nigerian Institute of Builders Anambra state chapter to help in actualizing the vision of Governor Chukwuma Soludo in making the Capital Territory a prosperous and livable homeland.
Mr. Onuko made this call when members of the Institute paid him a courtesy call in his office in Awka to seek collaboration with the Agency.
Mr. Onuko promised to partner with the group in building construction and also enjoined them to match their words with actions to see to the actualization of the dreams of Governor Chukwuma Soludo in making Awka and its environs a livable and prosperous homeland.
Speaking earlier during the visit, the Leader and spokesperson of the group, Mr. Kenneth Nduka described ACTDA as a well nurtured dream created by the Anambra State Government to ensure that the master plan of Awka Capital Territory is adhered to in building construction and applauded the Managing Director of ACTDA, Mr. Onuko for the works he has done within his three months in office.
Mr Nduka noted that there are noticeable changes in the Capital City since Mr. Onuko assumed office, and described their association as professionals trained to manage the successful delivery of healthy buildings for the good of the environment and the society at large.
He frowned that they are often neglected in the building industry, hence the need for the collaboration, and revealed that they came for the visit to submit themselves as willing tools to help the Agency to achieve their mandate of ridding the state of sick and collapsing buildings.
