Anambra State Association of Town Unions ASATU, has called for the election of a President that will give Ndigbo a sense of belonging in the socio-economic development of the Nigerian-Nation.
The President of the Association Chief Titus Akpudo, who made the call in a telephone interview with the ABS said that Nigeria needs a President that will improve the living standards of the people and create more employment opportunities for the teeming youths and improve the economy.
Chief Akpudo, said that the Anambra State Association of Town Unions has continued to sensitize the people on the need to obtain their permanent voter cards for them to take active part in elections.
He stressed the need for the electorate to use their permanent voter cards to positively change the political landscape of Nigeria warning them against mortgaging their conscience during the forthcoming election.
Chief Akpudo who described voting during elections as a major civic responsibility of the citizenry, charged the electorate to take full ownership of the Nations electoral process.
