It was all testimonies of life well lived in worship of God, service to humanity and humble living during the burial of Mr. Clement Echekwubelu at Adazi-Ani, Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra state.
the family house of late Pa Clement at Otutu village Adazi-Ani witnessed a gathering of people from all walks of life; who came to pay their last respect and identify with the family as they buried their patriarch who died at the age of ninety.
Popularly known as “Agbachukwukalu”, late Pa Clement was said to have live a life of humility; given his humble beginning, and worked hard throughout his time on earth, making him a role model for some of those who knew him.
In his sermon at the funeral service held at Saint James’ Anglican Church Adazi-Ani, Reverend Ugochukwu Afulundu reminded Christians of their purpose on earth, which he said is to show commitment to the things of God, and not to allow material things derail them, urging the family to take solace in God.
One of the deceased sons, Mr. Chinedu Echekwubelu, remarked that it was not easy for him to come to terms with his father’s death, saying that he lived a pious, humble and dedicated life worthy of emulation.
The deceased daughter, Mrs. Nkechi Dilibe, emphasized that truth was a virtue his father lived and stood for throughout his life, while his granddaughter, Miss Amarachukwu Okeke, described Pa Clement as a man who showed love to many and was also loved by those who came across him.
Some of those who came to condole with the Echekwubelu family, including Chief Ikechukwu Nwaiwu and Mr. Onyebuchi Madueke, said the deceased was blessed by God with longevity and impacted on his family greatly, urging all to live purposeful life.
