Governor Chukwuma Soludo has flagged off the construction of a seven kilometers road in Ugwuagba Obosi, Idemili North local government area.
The road construction which has already commenced since October last year will go through Mgbuka Obosi.
Governor Soludo while performing the function said that his visit was not just for the flag off but to inspect the level of progress recorded by the contractor.
The Governor who frowned at the slow pace of the project said that he will re-visit it again next month and threatened to terminate the contract if the contractor shows incompetence.
Noting that he is passionate to liberate ndi Anambra of the sufferings they go through as a result of road crisis, the Governor said that all he required is the support and cooperation of ndi Anambra and reminded them of the need to vote for All-Progressives Grand Alliance Candidates in the forthcoming elections and also to ensure that they participate actively in the forthcoming general census as well.
The APGA Candidate for Idemili North and South Federal Constituency, Chief Ikenna Iyiegbu and His Idemili North Constituency counterpart, Honourable Ifeanyi Chiekwu said that the Governor has earned the trust and support of the people through his unprecedented achievements within eleven months in office.
Some stakeholders in the area including, the Secretary to the state government, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Town Union and Chieftaincy matters, Barrister Asha Nnabuife, Barrister Ifeatu Obiokoye, the Chairman, Old Motor Parts Dealers Association, Mgbuka Obosi, Mr Samuel Ifurunwa all commended Governor Soludo for the road project and promised their support to deliver APGA in the coming elections as a way to encouraging the Governor to do more.
The Transition Committee Chairman of Idemili North, Mr Chucks Igboanua while welcoming the Governor recounted the benefits of the Soludo led administration to Idemili North and prayed to God to strengthen him.
Present at the event were the Commissioner for works, Engineer Ifeanyi Okoma, the Chief of Staff to the Governor Mr Ernest Ezeajughi, a Stakeholder in Obosi, Mr Chukwurah Omezie, the Idemili South Transition Committee Chairman, Mrs Amaka Obi and the Deputy Chief of Staff and Chief Protocol to the Governor, Chief Chinedu Nwoye, among others.
