Governor Chukwuma Soludo has assured to activate and harness the rich untapped potentials in Orumba North and South local government area.

 

The Governor gave the promise when he inspected the ongoing 27 kilometers Ufuma-Awa-Amansea road and also flagged off the construction of 9.4 kilometers Ezira -Umuomaku- Enugwu umuonyia- Achina road.

The road inspection and Flagg off in Orumba North and South was part of the efforts of the Governor Soludo led administration to tackle the road crisis confronting the state as over 260 kilometers of roads are currently under construction across the 21 local government areas of the state.

 

Governor Soludo also inspected the Nanka-Isuofia road which is near completion.

The Governor while performing the functions said that the roads which he identified as strategic will connect the areas with the major cities and open more opportunities for the youths and farmers in the Zone.

 

He used the opportunity to address the people of the zone on the need to participate actively in the coming elections and census and to ensure they support the All Progressives Grand Alliance that sees to their well-being and development of the state.

While emphasizing that election will hold on 25th February and March 11th 2023, Governor Soludo said that having APGA members occupy all the elective positions will guarantee stronger synergy and speedy development.

 

The Transition Committee Chairman of Orumba North, Sir Ogochukwu Ekwueme and his Orumba South counterpart, Prince Neville Uchendu who commended Governor Soludo for his unprecedented achievements within 11 months thanked him for fulfilling his promises to ndi Orumba.

They called on the people of Orumba to show solidarity by voting APGA Candidates in the forthcoming general elections.

 

The Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr Ernest Ezeajughi and the Commissioner for Women affairs, Mrs Ify Obinabo commended Governor Soludo for taking time inspect the road projects which they said will ensure effective and timely delivery of the projects.

Traditional ruler from the communities in Orumba North and South as well as other critical stakeholders including the National Vice President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Damian Okeke-Ogene, the MD/CEO Anambra State Bureau of Public Procurement, Mr Okey Ezeobi, were part of the exercise.
