As political campaigns wind down today, Ndi Anambra have been reminded of the need to support former Governor Peter Obi and his running mate Yusuf Datti Ahmed come Saturday this week for a sustained society.
The call was made at Ifitedunu, Dunukofia council area by the Director of Peter Obi-Datti election Campaign Organization Architect Mike Nwafor.
Architect Nwafor and Dr Francis Asokwu-SEA are from Ifitedunu in Njikoka council area.
As integral members of Peter Obi-Datti campaign organization, and having toured the thirty-six states of the federation and the capital territory, they decided to come home and reassure people of Anambra of the competence of the former Governor who has been tested and trusted to deliver and used the medium to distribute election materials to their people.
Their first point of call was the palace of the traditional ruler of Ifitedunu, Igwe Chukwuemeka Ilouno.
Speaking at the palace of the monarch, Architect Nwafor said that Mr Obi has come to change the narratives in Nigeria politics, rather than buying the position, noting that it is wrong to bribe people to serve them, pointing out that that if Nigeria can move from consumption to production, they need to vote in Peter Obi to guarantee the future of the children and give businesses the opportunity to thrive
The Director of Administration Peter Obi- Datti campaign Organisation charged every onye Anambra to go to the poll and vote for the Labour Party in order to achieve the Nigeria of their desire.
Earlier, the Head of General Duties, Peter Obi Datti Movement, Dr Francis Asokwu- SEA noted that having toured all the states in the country, they are sure that the Labour Party will win the election on Saturday.
He expressed the confidence that every family will be delighted again after the election when Obi and Datti must have won the election, and called on the monarch to ensure that his subjects are at the polls and cast their votes for the man of the moment.
Receiving them, Igwe Ilouno who prayed for Peter Obi to succeed, assured that quality representation is a guarantee with Mr. Obi, adding that his achievements in Anambra are there to speak for him.
