The Anambra State Commissioner for Health, Dr Afam Obidike, has called on individuals and communities to support the state government in achieving an efficient and effective healthcare system that will be affordable and accessible to all.

 

Dr. Obidike made the call while commissioning a hospital at Onono, Umuikwu Anam in Anambra West Local Government Area.

 

Commissioner Obidike, who explained that Governor Chukwuma Soludo is doing everything humanly possible to ensure that those living in the rural areas have access to quality healthcare system, said that Public Private Community Partnership, PPCP, introduced by the governor, is the best way to achieve an efficient healthcare system.

 

Dr. Obidike assured that the government is committed to making the hospital great and urged the people of the area to embrace health insurance for them to stay away from out-of-pocket expenses.

 

The health Commissioner who said that Governor Soludo is very passionate about the health needs of Ndi Anambra, made it clear that his Ministry is working assiduously to eliminate quackery in the state’s health sector.
