Governor Chukwuma Soludo says his administration is poised to digitize, reform and re-shape the local government system for optimal productivity.

 

Governor Soludo stated this in Awka, during the opening ceremony of the Digital Literacy Training for Local Government Employees organized by Anambra State Local Government Service Commission in collaboration with Integral Development Consult.

Governor Soludu who spoke through the Chief of Staff, Mr Earnest Ezeajughi while declaring the workshop open said that digitizing every sector of the state is one of the pillars of the present administration which will help to achieve its aims of a livable and prosperous Anambra State and restated that commitment and dedication to providing security, infrastructures, development of human capacity and social agenda are second to none.

 

He said that the training will spur staff to be vasatile in their work, charging them to be committed in their duty as the government is gradually reshaping the local government system.

The Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Town Union Affairs, Mr Tony Collins Nwabunwanne his speech said efforts are in top gear to unify local government system to be functional assuring that issues of staff claims and impress have been tackled , while many of the head quarter are wearing new looks as Governor Chukwuma Soludo is working tirelessly to upgrade the entire system.

 

Addressing the employees, the Chairman Local Government Service Commission, Barrister Ifeanyi- Ezeaka explained that the aim of the training was to change the analogue system of the commission to digitization, stating that about five hundred of employees are to receive the training and asked them to acquire a laptop to increase productivity.

In an address of welcome, the Managing Consultant of Integral Development Consult, Mrs Chinwe Nweke said they share Governor Soludo’s great vision and drive to make the State a livable and prosperous homeland.

 

In his vote of thanks on behalf of the participants, the President of Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, Anambra State Chapter, Comrade Chikwelu Adigwe extolled the present administration for changes witnessed in Local Government system noting that the training is an added advantage which will make their work easier.
