Anambra State Water Resources Management Office, Urban Water Asset
Holding Corporation will soon embark on enumeration of houses,
offices, and industries on water usage at Udoka Housing Estate Phase
One and Two, Awka
and environs.
The enumeration which will commence on twenty-seventh of this Month and
last till third April, is to ascertain consumers and potential
customers for the Udoka Water Supply Scheme project.
According to a statement signed by the Managing Director and Chief
Executive Officer of Anambra State Water Resources Management Office,
Mr Ikeobi Ejiofor, the exercise is in line with the state
government’s bid to provide adequate portable water supply to the
people
In another development, the Water Resources Management Office has
frowned at the vandalization and encroachment on public water supply
facilities across the State.
A statement from the Managing Director, Mr Ikeobi Ejiofor, warned
those indulging in such acts to desist or face unpleasant
consequences.
He enjoined traditional rulers, Presidents-General and vigilante
committees to ensure the security of public water supply located in
their various communities.
Mr Ejiofor further charged members of the public to report any
offender for necessary action.
