Anambra State House of Assembly election at Nawfia and Enugwu-Ukwu Communities, was adjudged peaceful by the electorate and stakeholders.
At Nawfia Ward Two, polling units 012, 013 and 014, the exercise moved smoothly as at half past ten in the morning.
Also at Ward three, polling units, 001 and 002, Osile Primary School Enugwu-Ukwu, there was massive turnout of voters unlike the polling units visited at Nawfia Community.
At about twelve noon, when the crew arrived Urunnebo Ward Four, polling units 002, 003, 004 and 009, there was massive turn out of voters especially at St Francis Catholic Church, Enugwu-Ukwu.
Speaking on the exercise , the member representing Njikoka One Constituency, Honourable Timothy Ifedioramma, commended INEC for coming out on time unlike February twenty-five elections, that they started voting around one o’ clock in the afternoon.
The Chief Protocol Officer and Chief of Staff to Governor Chukwuma Soludo, Mr. Chinedu Nwoye, expressed joy that the exercise moved smoothly.
In their various speeches, ASATU Woman Leader and President-General, Nawfia Progressive Union, Women Wing, Lady Franca Nwigbo, Princess Bibiana Nwankwo and Prince Chido Nwankwo, thanked INEC for improving the operations of the BVAS Machine, expressing hope that it would upload perfectly.
The APGA Candidate for Njikoka One Constituency, Mr. Chidi and the Chief Press Secretary to former Governor’s wife, Mr. Emeka Ozumba, said that they were happy that the election moved without hitches at the time filing this report and commended INEC for bracing to the task of ensuring a hitch free exercise.
