The Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Right Honourble Uche Okafor has urged Nigerians to make the interest of the nation a priority in all their endeavours.
In his Easter message, Right Honourble Okafor noted that Easter offers Nigerians the opportunity to reflect on their lives, adding that since Jesus Christ defeated death, Christians and non-Christians alike are expected to overcome corruption and other societal vices.
The Speaker urged political office holders to emulate the selfless sacrifices made by Jesus Christ for the salvation of mankind by eschewing all forms of political, social and religious vices in the interest of peace and progress of the country.
He urged affluent citizens to commit part of their resources in touching lives.
Right Honourble Okafor enjoined Ndi Anambra to use the period to show more love to one another and generate the much-needed support for Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s administration.
The State number one lawmaker who called on the citizenry especially different religious bodies in the State to continue to pray for the peace and Progress of the State, prayed God to give Governor Soludo the grace and enablement to pilot the affairs of the State.
