The Archdeacon in charge of Agulu Archdeaconry and Vicar of Saint Peters Parish Agulu in Anaocha Local Government Area Venerable Chamberlain Ofonakara has urged Christians to always aspire for the things of the Lord.

Venerable Ofonakara in a sermon frowned at many Christians who have left the critical things about christianity and embark on sinful life advising them to be focused and seek the kingdom of God.

 

Meanwhile, Catholic faithful yesterday observed the Divine Mercy Sunday which is the day of total forgiveness of sins and period of reconciliation between God and man.

In a homily at Saint Joseph’s Cathedral Aguleri, the Chancellor of Aguleri Diocese, Reverend Father Innocent Acho-Egbunike said Christ instituted the forgiving Ministry so as to enable the people participate in the means of nourishment and sanctification He left behind.

Reverend Father Acho-Egbunike encouraged the faithful to trust in the divine mercy and always approach the throne of mercy which is the sacramental confession and ensure that they draw closer to Christ on daily basis.

 

Also, at the Madonna Parish Agulu, a Priest in residence, Reverend Father Paul Chimezie called for total submission to God and abstinence from sin by the faithful.
