Anambra State Traditional Rulers Council through its Chairman, Igwe Alfred Achebe of Onitsha has commended the outstanding roles of the State Commissioner for Local Government and Community Affairs, Mr Tony Collins Nwabunwane, in restoring peace and harmony in most crisis ridden communities of the state.

 

Igwe Achebe who commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for the choice of Mr Nwabunwanne as Commissioner, expressed satisfaction with the cordial working relationship existing between the Commissioner and the traditional rulers.

 

The Obi of Onitsha who extolled the Commissioner for reconciling the warring factions in some Communities in the State assured him of the total support of the traditional rulers in the onerous task.

 

The traditional rulers noted that the Commissioner has transformed all the town Unions, installed elected Presidents-General and as well as conducted peaceful elections that brought in certified traditional rulers, in Igboukwu, Isu Aniocha and Umuomaku communities.

 

Contributing, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Local Government Chieftaincy and Community Affairs, Mrs Pauline Nwandu extoled Governor Soludo for his support to Mr Nwabunwanne, which facilitated the training of all the staff of the Ministry in Information Communication Technology.
