Wife of the Governor of Anambra State, Nonye Soludo has urged women to carry out their their roles effectively to build stronger sociocultural system.
Mrs Soludo stated this during the inauguration of Ada Anambra, United Kingdom, UK.
Ada Anambra UK is a socio-cultural organization that incorporates Anambra women living in the United Kingdom as members.
The association was formed to set agenda for peace, unity and development, as well as to serve as a platform for social and cultural reorientation and growth away from home.
Speaking during the inauguration of the association, Mrs Soludo praised Anambra women living in the UK for setting a pace for communal bond, explaining that Ada Anambra UK’s mantra of “Nwanne Malu Nwanne Ya” connotes Anambra’s celebrated identity of love and fraternity.
The Anambra Governor’s wife who was officially unveiled as the patroness of the association, noted that the group must also look at ways to drive distinct social policies like protection of women and girl child rights , hygiene and healthy living habits.

She described Ada Anambra UK as a community of sisters and progressive minded women, and applauded the founders for exemplifying Anambra’s spirits of community, oneness and family.
Mrs Soludo urged the women to also channel efforts to the development of Anambra State, restating that the state government is already implementing development plans to make Anambra State a source of pride to its citizens both at home and in the diaspora.
