The Transition Committee Chairman, Nnewi North Local Government Area, Engineer Chris Obiorah, has emphasized the need for everyone to join hands in carving out a progressive future for Anambra Children.

 

Engineer Obiorah made the call while marking the 2023 Children’s Day Celebration with Nnewi North Children at the council headquarters at Nnewi.

Engineer Obiorah in his address identified children as the future of the society and harped on the need for everyone to get involved in building a society where they will live and thrive.

He noted that Governor Chukwuma Soludo has taken a bold step in recruiting five thousand quality teachers to give the children solid education and moral foundation and encouraged parents, teachers and caregivers to always play their role in helping the children to live a meaningful and focused life promising to collaborate with the progressives in Nnewi to give every child renewed hope to aim for the best.

Engr Obiorah expressed hope that Governor Soludo’s led administration will create conducive environment for Anambra Children, having given priority to education, security, infrastructure, social welfare, quality healthcare, agriculture, wealth and job creation among others.

The Head, Local Government Administration, Nnewi North council Area, Engineer Valentine Onuorah, in a vote of thanks commended the children for their wonderful displays and encouraged them to focus on their academics and avoid crimes.

 

The event featured match pass, special performances and cash reward to best performed schools.
