Mr. John Uzoka from Atani, Ogbaru Council Area, has tied nuptial knot with his heart throb, Jennifer Okafor, from Mmiata Anam, Anambra West Council Area.

 

The wedding, which took place at Amazing Grace Anglican Church, Isiowulu, Obosi, was presided over by the Vicar of the church, Reverend Onyebuchi Obinwa.

The bride, Miss Jennifer, is the first daughter of Mr. Sylvester Okafor, a senior staff of the ABS.

 

In a sermon during the wedding service, Reverend Obinwa, who titled his message, “Rooted in Love for God and in Love for each other” , charged the couple to love each other because love covers multitude of sin.

He said misunderstanding comes in marriage but stressed that love will help them to overcome in their marital life as well as raise their children in accordance with God’s will.

 

The parents of the bride, Mr. Sylvester and Vivian Okafor, advised the couple to live in peace and love, praying God to bless their home while the groom’s parents, Prince Uzoka and Mrs. Roselyn Uzoka, thanked God for the union and urged them to continue to love each other.

For the groom, Mr. Uzoka, his wife is a blessing from God, adding that her good heart and character got her attracted to him and promised to love her with all he has while the bride, Jennifer, described her husband as very caring man and promised to stand by him always.

Some professional colleagues of Mr. Okafor, including the News Manager, NTA Onitsha, Mrs. Maureen Ezeokeke, a Deputy Director, News and Current Affairs Department of the ABS, Mrs. Miriam Chukwuma, advised the new couple to be patient with each other, avoid third party and pray together.

 

Others, who joined in praying and wishing the couple well are the chairman on the occasion, Chris Akujieze and , Eze Oranyelu John Okpara of Umezi Ikeduru, Imo State.

 

The wedding attracted personalities from all walks of life, as well as media personalities, including Mrs. Adaorah Arah of Purity FM, Awka and Mr. Victor Ononye of Trinitas Newspaper among others.

 

Exchange of marriage vows, thanksgiving, cutting of wedding cake and dance by the couple added colour to the event.
