The Managing Director, Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS, Sir Chido Obidiegwu, says that the late Archbishop Maxwell Anikwenwa’s legacies in church of Christ in general and the Anglican Communion in particular, cannot be over emphasized.
Sir Chido, who made the remark when members of Burial ommittee, Diocese of Awka, Anglican Communion, paid him a courtesy call in his office in Awka, regretted the demise of the late Archbishop and described him as a father to all, a man of honour, an episcopacy among numerous other qualities.
While assuring the Committee of full coverage of the burial ceremony, the ABS Boss noted that his death left a big vacuum in the hearts of Christian faithful and prayed God to grant his soul eternal repose in His bosom.
Speaking earlier , the chairman of the Committee, Dr. Emma Ezenwaji, said they came to seek the collaboration of ABS towards the late Archbishop Anikwenwa’s burial scheduled to commence on twenty-fifth June to twenty-nineth, June 2023.
Dr. Ezenwaji noted that the late Anikwenwa, who was a former Dean, Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, died at the age of eighty-three and will be laid to rest on twenty-nineth, June 2023.
Contributing, a member of the committee, Venerable David Ezeobi, affirmed that the late Anikwenwa, loved and supported ABS very much while alive and appealed to the organization to assist the Committee by featuring his burial activities from service of songs to interment.
On his part, the Diocesan Chairman of Protocol, Sir Sunny Okoye, expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the visit, and appreciated Sir Chido for his kind gesture.
