Muslim Community in Onitsha, has joined its counterparts across the globe in commemorating this year’s Ed Kabir.
The celebration, regarded as the ‘Big Sallah, always come around with lots of merriment.
At the palace of Oba Yoruba Onitsha, Alhaji Abduraham Subaru, ABS observed that Cows and Rams were slaughtered for the celebration among other things.
In his good will message, Oba Subaru, while felicitating with his fellow Muslim faithful, highlighted the need for all Nigerians to see each other as one, irrespective of religious affiliation.
Oba Subaru, who is also the chairman, Anambra Muslim Council, appreciated Anambra State Government under Governor Chukwuma Soludo, for making it possible for them to attend this year’s pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia.
As he urged leaders at all levels to always have the interest of the people they are leading at heart, Oba Subaru prayed for successful businesses for Onitsha Markets Traders and cautioned them against bad advisers as they put God first in whatever they do.
