The National Director Administration Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association, Alhaji Gidado Sidiki, has called for unity of purpose among Nigerians to achieve the Nigeria of everyone’s dream.
Alhji Sidiki made the call in his office at Amansea, Awka North Council Area, while speaking on the significance of Eid el Kabir celebration to national development and growth.
According to him, security of life and property of Nigerians, should be paramount in everybody’s agenda, since insecurity has plunged Nigeria backwards in terms of economic growth, stressing that no society can grow without security.
He explained that as an organization, it is their duty to ensure peace and harmony between their members, who are herders and their host community, warning those, who cause problems or destroy peoples’ farmland in the name of cattle rearing to desist from such act as it does not promote national integration.
He appreciated Governor Chukwuma Soludo for providing them with security in all the places they held their Sallah prayers and assured of their unalloyed support.
On the essence of killing ram during Eid el Kabir, Alhaji Sidiki, explained that it is in remembrance of the Koran passage where Allah instructed Abram to kill his only son, but later provided him a ram which he used for the sacrifice.
