The President General of Ugbenu Town Union, Awka North Local Government Area, Mr. Sampson Ojo-Nwankwo has commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for remembering Ugbenu community in the ongoing massive road construction in the state.

 

Mr. Ojo-Nwankwo gave the commendation while speaking to the ABS on the pace of work on the ongoing Amansea-Ebenebe-Ugbenu-Ugbene-Awba Ofemmili-Umuerum-Omor twenty-five-point five-kilometer road.

 

The Ugbenu community PG, Mr. Ojo-Nwankwo who expressed gratitude to the Professor Soludo government for remembering Ugbenu in that capacity after several years of abandonment by previous administrations in the state, commended the Governor for his people-oriented programmes and policies which he noted are already having positive effects on the masses.

 

Describing Ugbenu and other communities in the area as major food baskets of Anambra state, Mr. Ojo-Nwankwo said that the road on completion will help people in the area in evacuation of their farm produce to the urban parts of the state, encourage people from other places to relocate to the area, attract companies and other developments to the community.

 

He disclosed that the Amansea-Ebenebe-Ugbenu-Ugbene-Awba Ofemmili-Umuerum-Omor twenty-five-point five-kilometer road construction has reach to asphalt stage from Amansea to Awba Ofemmili, and called on the contractors handling the project to hasten up and complete the job.

 

Mr. Ojo-Nwankwo assured that people of Ugbenu community are solidly behind the administration of governor Soludo, as according to him, it is a government for the common man.
