Mmaigbo Empowerment Foundation, MIEF, Worldwide, has honoured the Managing Director, Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS, Sir Chido Obidiegwu, with an award of service to God and humanity.

 

The award was presented to the ABS Boss in his office in Awka, by the Board of Advisory and Directors of the foundation.

Mmaigbo Empowerment Foundation, is a nongovernmental organization that draws its membership from all Igbo communities across Nigeria with the primary goal of keeping youths off the street through skill acquisition programmes.

 

The Foundation, which has different skills acquisition programmes and other extracurricular activities, also provides start-up packs for participants on graduation.

Speaking during the presentation , the President of the Foundation, Comrade Uzo Ekemezie, said they chose to honour Sir Chido because of his commitment to the vision of the organization.

 

Responding, Sir Chido, thanked the foundation for its contributions towards boosting the skilled workforce in Igbo society and Anambra State in particular, adding that the award will spur him to work hard and pursue the betterment of youths.

Sir Chido used the occasion to reiterate the call on Ndi Anambra in diaspora to heed the Ak- luo-uno call.

Also in the delegation were the winners of the 2023/2024 Ada Mmaigbo Empowerment Foundation Pageantry, Miss Juliet Okolie and her deputy, Miss Uchenna Ugwu.
