The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Awka Capital Territory Development Authority, Mr. Ossy Onuko says Governor Chukwuma Soludo is determined to develop all sectors of the state economy.
Mr. Onuko disclosed this when Awka youths led by their Chairman, Mr. Tochukwu Nwokoye-Nwosu and the Chairman of Ezioka youths, Mr. Nwude Onuorah paid him a familiarization visit to appreciate the Anambra state government for the various works it is doing in the capital city.
Addressing the youths, Mr. Onuko, thanked them for the visit and noted that Governor Soludo is passionate about the overall development of all sectors of the state economy and that ACTDA will continue to discharge its duties as enshrined in the law establishing it.
The ACTDA boss maintained that the current administration in the state is desirous of distributing the dividends of democracy evenly to every community in the state and charged the youths to be good ambassadors of the town and Anambra state at large, as well as keep supporting the Soludo administration for it to succeed.
Earlier, the Awka youth Chairman, Mr Nwokoye-Nwosu, expressed appreciation to Governor Soludo for appointing their son, Mr. Onuko as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of ACTDA, as well as his resolve to transform the city.
He outlined various projects Governor Soludo is currently doing in Awka, including the award of a contract for the construction of the Solution Fun City, an amusement and recreational hub that will be domiciled at the heart of Awka, even as he thanked the Governor for the dualization of Oby Okoli road, construction of more than twelve new roads within the inner cities of Awka, maintenance and rehabilitation of most of the bad roads, such as Aroma- Macdon road, the deep gully at Ziks avenue, the constant flooding issue at the Arthur Eze avenue, which has devastated the road for more than a decade but has now been fixed by Soludo government among many others.
For the Chairman of Ezioka Youths, Mr. Onuorah, the re-election of the Governor for his second term in office is a done deal as far as Awka is concerned, and commended Mr. Onuko, for his commitment to ensuring that discipline and compliance with the law and order are adhered to in all development activities going on in the city and assured him of their continued support at all times.
