The renovated and modernized Chime Hall, Orofia village, Abagana, Njikoka Council Area has been commissioned.
The hall was renovated through the sponsorship of Chief Mrs Chinwe Nduka, an illustrious daughter of Abagana and her husband, Dr Clement Nduka from Nri.
The ceremony was also used to mark the birthday celebrations of the siblings of Chief Mrs Nduka, Sir Ikem Onwuadi who turned 70 and Rev. Sister Rona Onwuadi who turned 60 and retired from service as a Reverend Sister.
The event commenced with a holy mass at St. Francis the Assisi Parish Abagana officiated by the Parish Priest, Reverend Father Cosmas Okafor where the families of Nduka and Onwuadi expressed gratitude to God for the gift of life through thanksgiving.
Speaking at the event , Chief Mrs Nduka said that the secret of wealth is giving and urged people to appreciate God with their wealth, noting that wealth should be used to touch lives
She explained that the Chime hall was a project her father and his generation started years back which seemed to be abandoned and she decided to take it up, thanking God for using her family to complete and commission it for use.
The two celebrants, Sir Onwuadi and Reverend Sister Onwuadi thanked God for adding another year to their ages and for a successful service to God and humanity and appreciated all that made the day a memorable one.
In his remark, the Chairman, Orofia Village Association Abagana, Chief Sebastine Anyansi and Chairman of the occasion, General Rueben Akanisi , described Chief Mrs Nduka as a gift and blessing to humanity, adding that she has impacted many lives and has brought development to communities through her interventions.
Thanksgiving, cutting of cake, cultural dances, awards, presentations by individuals, groups and associations to Chief Mrs Nduka and her husband climaxed the event.
