The member representing Anaocha Constituency Two in the Anambra State House of Assembly Honourable Ejike Okechukwu has called on the people especially Ndigbo to learn how to immortalize the fallen heroes.

 

Speaking on ABS Radio programme in Awka, Honourable Okechukwu said that immortalizing those who contributed immensely to the growth of the society will go a long way in motivating those still alive.

 

Honourable Okechukwu regretted that Ndigbo often celebrat

 

e the rich when alive but forget their contributions once they passed on and called for an attitudinal change.

 

He stressed the need for the people to always remember those that contributed to the development of the society, by naming one strategic institution or street after them, as a way of immortalizing them.

 

Honourable Okechukwu who advised Ndigbo to always imbibe the culture of hard work, honesty and brotherliness for a bright prospect charged youths of Igbo extraction to always respect and honour their elders, irrespective of their financial status.

 

The lawmaker used the opportunity to call on Ndi Anambra to continue with their support to the Soludo administration to enable the government to deliver on its mandate.

 

Honourable Okechukwu maintained that governance is a collective responsibility and called on the people to always protect government facilities in their various areas against vandalization.
